This kind of feature would be heavily abused, and I can't see it being helpful even when used as described, it just encourages people to hold grudges.
The problem is Dilli alot of people who hold grudges against you and really wont get off your case its impossible to avoid them.

I don't like to get upset with people and there have been times where I have said things that are totally out of character and really perhaps not warranted after all we all have different views on some things and we are all equally passionate about those views.

the ability to mute someone stops that and it works both ways, if I piss someone off they can mute me and vice versa. Lately I find myself leaving games to stop myself from saying things, which really aren't nice.

I like the foes option on the website and I have utilized it already for people where I feel we can never meet any common ground something the same on the main gaming server would be an excellent addition IMO.

I do hate it in phantom games though where there is that one idiot who starts attacking at 5 mins in, swearing at everyone calling them noob ect and just generally wrecking game. Then when they die they observe and keep on lagging out and refuse to leave. Also they change name every few weeks.

This blacklist would rely on UID instead of name so changing name would not be an issue like it is now.

Not sure if this is viable, would it be possible to have an option where you can permanently mute certain members ie, not be able to read what they say in chat, receive messages from them or even read their forum posts?

I'm sure it works both ways but I would love this option if it is possible.

Its very easy to say "ignore them" but that's very very hard in some cases.

An answere with "Yes" or "No" would really help alot :) Yeah it's possible in the forums and directly via IRC but why the hell we would logon there if we're able to chat trough FAF?

For the lobby, SpinDrah once created a lobby theme that set certain member's text to the same color as the background, rendering whatever they wrote as invisible.

If you connect to chat via IRC, your IRC app may have something like this built in as well.
