So much for ever having to make a forward base - or any factories anywhere other than your starting point. I guess we can forget about fleets of transports and ferries too.

While we're talking about ideas for quantum gateways though, how about we make it so you can't assist them? That would be a good canon idea...

That sound fantastic and i will like it. It will be new strategic point, not only factory for one type of units, especialy when its called gateway.

This was actually planned for the game. In the beta you could drop 'teleport markers' when selecting the quantum gateway and then you could teleport (not sure if you could actually do that, but you could set a marker where stuff should teleport).
It wasn't implemented, probably because they couldn't balance it.

There was such mod somewhere. I didn't see it in FAF mod vault though. I'll put a link if i will find.

I also found something like that in FAF vault. It's called "Strategic teleporters V0.1".

i would like it. not for t4 unuts though.
but an scu teleporting behind the enemy base and rushing a quantum gate so you can teleport a whole t3 army right your enemy base would be cool.

Hi everyone, I want to talk about an idea I had for quantum gateways. What if in addition to them calling in support commanders, they could also act as teleporters and teleport units between each other. Lets say you build a quantum gateway on an island and another one on the mainland. If a unit goes into a quantum gateway on the island, it will come out on the mainland and vice versa. If you build more than two quantum gateways, then each quantum gateway is given a number and you have to select which number (quantum gateway) the unit(s) should teleport to. To balance this feature (if balance is needed) then maybe each unit that teleports costs energy and higher value units cost more energy. Another idea is that after a certain number of units teleport there is a cooldown time. What do you guys think of this idea?
