Someone suggested "lockdown" units that can't be selected with drag select, i forgot where the thread is and i'm too lazy to find it but it's a great idea

Would be neat. In the meanwhile you can work around this problem by grouping those flac under a number. When giving all of your flac a new command, quickly select group by number and hit s for stop. If they're on patrol, instead use shift to give move/attack command to all of your units (incl. army & flac). The patrol will continue to function I suppose. If even your army does have some kind of pending command you'll have to deselect your flac like you said.

Exclusion groups

Hey there, just something to make base management easier. Can some code a function where say if I want to use mobile flak to defend key areas around my base I can put them into an "exclusion group" so that when I drag select a group of units they won't be included in that group? Just makes micro a bit less fiddly, you know? Someone might say "Well just select everything and then right click in the selection menu to deselect the flak" but there might be flak in my army that I want to take with me but the flak that I have strategically positioned around my base I don't want to take with me, hence the need for this clever idea of mine. Thanks
