Back on topic, lacking a style guide I made the patch notes for 3662 resemble the notes on from the balance team
http://wiki.faforever.com/index.php?title=3662

On 3660 I just copied what the others looked like
http://wiki.faforever.com/index.php?title=3660

So what do you guys think, keep that patch note simple and more looking like a log, or doing it with some pictures?

We can set some standards and make the job easy. I'm sure half the guys mentioned in the list doesn't even know they are mention on the wiki. If you can get everyone to keep that list updated, even the guys that leaves for months great. I think it would be better just not to mention clans at all when we are referencing players on the wiki.

@ Exotic_Retard
I am aware of that anyone can edit the wiki, i'm doing just that and creating pages. What is this? "also what do you mean ban clan tags, just because empire clan wrote the wiki!"
It is great that your clan is putting in an effort for the community and I commend you for that, this post has nothing to do with it.

I started this thread because I know you and speed put allot of time into it and i don't just want to undo your work and I would like us (and others!) to work together in maintaining it.

Typically, the trainer list is not updated unless a trainer themself came along to add their name to the list,
I think, if they chose to stay relevant to their audience, they can come back and change their clan at a whim, forums accounts are available to everyone. When i changed to aviaN_, i made sure to update my identity where i found it relevant, including the very obscure "faf username" option on the forums

Proposing to list some standards for the wiki. I don't just want to remove stuff that people obviously put effort in, but certain things makes maintaining it problematic.

Starting with something simple, lets ban the use of clan tags when a person is referenced. Case in point is this page http://wiki.faforever.com/index.php?tit ... s#Trainers

Such a table is not sustainable, it's unfortunate since it does look good. Maybe some gracious dev will give us an API call for user name and a way to hook it into the wiki.

tldr: ban the use of clan tags when a person is referenced
