That is normal. All the scrolling/rotating things take a lot of CPU depending of your screen refresh rate. In the next build, it will stop updating while you are ingame.

But the 3d view should be really smooth, and the CPU should not be 100%.

I checked out of interest and I have the same thing happening except mine is floating around 10-15% which is not that bad but don't think this is normal though since the normal is around 1-2%.

i got a similar problem:

as soon as i clicked the GW tab once FAF uses up to 25% instead of between 1-4%
i5 2500 @3,5
geforce 460 2gb
4bg ram

I am on the most recent drivers. And its been this way in every driver version since I got into the GW alpha.

No idea. Can be the forced AA or the textures (about 104 mb). Or just a poor support of some shader code from the drivers.

Did you tried updating them ?

I have 512 mb dedicated, but my comp auto allocates another 512 mb of ram for the gpu when required.

You seem to be correct. My GPU is spiking to 97% usage...why would that effect my CPU though?

What is the GPU ram ?

I think someone else with the same kind of GPU reported such issue.

I will try to make some low performance mode in a next build.

Hey All/Ze_Pilot,
Every time I log into GW, my cpu jumps to 30-60% constant cpu usage. Am I the only one experiencing this? And are there any logs that have any useful info about this?
