You can put the attack on hold, you have 10 min before it's gone, but anyone in your team can take it.
Double click on it.

With the new charging you cannot uncheck the available for playing box anymore without stoping the attack.
But it would be great if you could at least take some short breaks when you cannot sit in front of the PC waiting for the defender.
(Phone, Toilet, drink, etc...)
Stoping the attack after it has discharged is no good as you have to pay again the next time.
