Put a .png picture of the map in the folder. The picture needs to have the same name as the folder as far as I know. If that doesn't work , ... it doesn't. There are planty other maps with this .. "bug".

So how does the map "isle of sedition work? It's a custom map a 20x10 and yet all the starting positions are shown properly.
Also what picture of the three (large small and the dds one) control that in game map preview? I tried changing all of them nothing seems to chaange the picture of the map you see inside the game when ur selecting a starting location...

You don't ,alternetively you can make an ingame pciture and place it in the map folder.

I started a game and everyone had a commander. By the way , this is only a picture but. The map editor isn't that smart to put everyone on the map in such "special" maps.

4v4 starting positions outside of map borders.

Its a rectangular 20x10 map...
4 of the starting positions are for some reason outside of the map borders..in the save file they seem to be within the coordinates of the map but in the in game lobby they show as outside the map and when you try and start on one of them the game starts but you dont have a commander.
I tried comparing my files to the files of fields of isis since it also has the identical shape and i cant find why fields of isis works but mine doesnt...
