I'm fine with my Czar beam damaging my own ASF too because noone in their right mind would fly their airplane into a giant death laser.

no I meant what I sayed

did you ever saw team games? how many players died to mercy or corsairs? a lot

being aggressive is not worth it if your air dont have full air control, cause mercy and corssairs are doing alpha dmg, that is mean that your air need to hover his air abone enemy army/base possibly with no radar, perfect way to lose all your air,
also corssairs have lot of HP and kill them with ints is not easy in scenario I mentioned, and mercy can fly through cloud of ints and still do the kill (yes this happened, probly cause he lack radar, but still...)

if you being aggressive, that is mean that you have no reliable ACU defence like flak/shield and you will get it later that enemy air snipe, also if you fight ACU vs ACU you need to keep you units behind your ACU so your AA defent dont get killed, but that is mean that alpha dmg unist can easily kill you

ok and now I complain about mercy:
how many players were killed by mercy? I bet like 10x or 100x more them with beetles, beetle snipe is also more expensive and it is hard to execute right, cause stupid transports and beetle path finding(oh auto-overcharge make it even harder), while mercy snipe is just right click attack, yet beetles got nerfed and mercy not and balance team changed beetle to be absolutly useless, well done

if you at least give beetles dmg like overcharge (possible? I dont know), 3500 dmg or what it was before nerf against building and 1500 dmg against ACU, with same AoE like now. so cyb could use it for drops to snipe important building, cause medusa quite sucks

However, the more FaF develops, the more it's about apm-freeing UI like strogos targeting priority, not to mention snipe mode which has ruined chances of aggressive ACU play.

It used to gain insane vet off of a well timed groundfire, but as mentioned in another recent post, changes to the veterancy system have severely impacted the donut's ability to become a more healthy donut. Furthermore ASF are ridiculously strong and can easily take down a Czar/Ripper/Washer within seconds of coming into range anyways, why do they need extra protection?

Having to now click once or twice to avoid losing a couple cheap air units doesn't feel like a drawback to me. It's actually something you want to do anyways to keep a T4 air unit in front of your asf cloud to do maximum damage. There's never been a single game where I couldn't spare the moment to spend one finger tap to save MY ENTIRE AIR FORCE.

It was a cool moment in 1/100 games where someone hilariously lost a ton of fighters. I think bringing back the Czar's ability to zap a few asf would pull a little more fun back into the game and be a small but nice change.
