T1 PDGround in Water?

Postby Jace » 18 Apr 2012, 09:08

Hi, What do you think of the idea to be able to build T1(maybe T2) GroundPD in water like you can do it with AA. I often play small watermaps and on these maps i often would like to ragequit against the stupid Auroraspammers. Cause most times you cant even protect your Navalfactory. Being able to put a PD in front of it would solve the problem.

Go heavy on air? Build a bomber right away, attack his base or any engineer. He'll be forced to go for anti-air, reducing the number of auroras he can spam while you can just go somewhere else with the bomber. Don't bother with a land factory. This should set him back.

Anyway, T1 pd on the water won't help, what are you going to do against a seraphim player who shows up with hover artillery?

Ghetto gunships work great against auroras... then move to frigates, they work great too.

bombers kill aouras efficiently as long as they get at least one pass in. Frigates smash them with micro and as do shore PD with walls. Many ways to deal with them

PDs are crap vs auroras, even with walls. Frigs and air are the best bet, or acu with upgrade.

not if the PD is on the shore and the aouras are in the water. They are low to the ground and hit the walls as they have to shoot upwards

Being able to build PD on water does not help vs auroras... that's the essential point.
