3609 T2 PDs imbalanced

3609 T2 PDs imbalanced

Well this doesn't look good, here's why:

UEF T2 PD, you can't see exactly where the shots are fired from but you can hear it clearly and scout the area

Aeon T2 PD, even harder to see where the shots are coming from but you can hear it still and scout the area

Cybran T2 PD, I can SEE EXACTLY where the PD is, no scouting required just ground fire and it's gone...

Seraphim T2 PD, I can still see where the shots originate from so load the cannons and ground fire it to bits and pieces...

Now as a Seraphim or Cybran player shield>stealth with PD creep always.....stealth PD creep is useless now.....

It seems like SOUND is the issue here, I can hear the UEF and Aeon T2 PDs hit, but no sound from the Cybran and Seraphim T2 PDs when outside of the visual radius

I understand why you tried to fix it but this is actually hindering the factions versus the others

I did notice that under the patch notes it said "attempted to fix" but it obviously is worse off now than before so I'm a little confused on how it got into the patch after testing

Hmmm... Seems that funkoff use his fix and not mine.

Me is not happy. Will be removed in 3610 today.

U can't see the flash as teh flashs not in fa!!!!

Cybran T2 PD, I can SEE EXACTLY where the PD is, no scouting required just ground fire and it's gone...
Laser light show u can see that in the dark no matter.

Seraphim T2 PD, I can still see where the shots originate from so load the cannons and ground fire it to bits and pieces...

The effect is working as best as we can.

It's either that or invisible beams. So we have the choice between an indirect buff or an indirect nerf.

I personally wants to keep it as it is now and buff a little the PD.

The being able to tell where the pds are is not much of a problem. An intercetor will gauranteed do that for very cheap. They are much more unbalanced with DPS. Cybran is genraly best now unless you are against Aeon and in that case its UEF. I dont play sera so dont know about that. Aeon one is best against T2/T3 and in PD wars but I think as its not usefull vs T1 is is the worst.

Cybran one is also made better by its very cheap builtime and cost.

I don't understand why it needs to be fixed in the first place. I've only seen people "rage" against the "invisible beams" when you can still see the hit animation on whatever it hits. It's the player's fault for not paying attention, you shouldn't punish Cybran and Seraphim players for it. Or at least punish all factions equally so that you're not limiting a good strategy to specific factions where there is already enough faction diversity.

Actually the only reason it does work is because the player being attacked isn't paying attention. There's even a green bar under your ACU's icon on the right that will go down if you're hit by something...then you can right click the icon to go instantly to your ACU to see what the problem is...

Out of all the times I've tried to snipe an ACU with Seraphim beams it has only worked twice, all the other times they just clicked their ACU back about five steps and then sent scouts to counter...

Buff a -->little<-- the PD.....you're now making stealth field generators more useless to two factions but the same usefulness to the other two and the least you'll do is buff the PD a -->little<--? That's so mean :cry:

And wait wouldn't that upset the faction diversity in the T2 PDs? :?

I really don't see why the laser should be invisible in the first place.

Don't make any twisted logic for a bug, it was not intended by GPG.

FA is a game where you should concentrate on your strategy and tactics. Not looking closely on little sparkles on your units or shields, or even if the health of your unit is decreasing by itself (or force the player to play with these health bar on - it's not starcraft -).

- By the way, if the laser hit a shield, even a personal one, the laser will be invisible -

Agreed. It may be a slightly imperfect solution, but it's certainly better than the previous behavior.
