Monkeylord range attack

Postby --- » 24 Apr 2016, 10:58

Hi,

I was wondering: that range attack of the ML (red single shots) - isn't that kinda counter productive? It's not that strong but it certainly reveals an incoming ML before it's main canon (laser) can shot. This gives the opponent valuable time to pull back. It's like a sneaky ninja, coming from the dark, only to have his cell phone go off once he almost reached his target.

you can put in hold fire mod until you get in lazer range.
430 dps with 64 range isn't bad.
fyi a brick is 375 dps on 35 range.
the only issue is that you can't control the long range weapon of the ML. This could have been great to snipe important unit : omni/T2 radar, arty and sniper bot...

Ya, thanks, I just thought of it, too. Takes more micro then, but that should work.
I wonder, do higher rated players actually do that?

you can setup it as target priority, so long range will kill this important object first.
or you can click attack, and them click to move back, to +- stay on place and dont move to your small range, you will prioritize them.

Hold fire on all units next to 500hp enemy ACU so 2000 in his team doesn't get the base.

(This has never happened to me and i have no idea how humiliating the experience is would be)
