How to get bigger strategic icons for units, structures

I would like to have bigger icons for units, structures. They are way too small...
I am on XP in windowed mode where the resolution is a default one, so to change it is not an option.
I would like to have icons at least 3 or 4 times bigger...

Any idea ? Thank you

GAZ UI lets you enable larger icons if you want them.

That is the only mod I use but it works only for build strategic icons (which is not very usefuk btw, you know quickly where are your built icons...)

I would like that for units and structures. ^^

There was a replacement icon sprite pack that Thygrrr released ages ago. It wasnt a mod, it required you to replace a bunch of files in your supcom install. And yes, I mean the icons on the map.

The icons were just straight upsized, so they are rather pixelly, but if the normal icons are too small they should look fine.

I can't find the link on GPG forums anymore, so maybe you can ask Thygrrr directly to see if he still has it, since he's still around over here.


I guess, along the lines of "Things SupCom should have had in the first place", it would be nice if this was included with FAF and made integrated/switchable somehow

I don't have it I fear (actually I might even have it somewhere), but I definitely know someone who plays with it:
Felitaur (on FAF). He's visually impaired and the icon pack works great for him. He's a nice guy and if you tell him I sent you he'll gladly pass the icons on, I'm sure.

That other icon work was just for the GAZ-UI icons, not the ones on the strategic map. I still have that (including the generator script I hacked together - will gladly pass it on if anyone's interested)

Attached is the scd for the resized icons; this should go in the gamedata folder.

Didn't have time to test it with FAF yet.

this can also be helpful playing on a 15" laptop with full hd resolution.
i will test it.

edit: it works fine for 3599, but not for 3614. the strategic icons are really big, so it is for people with really bad vision.

It is perfect for me, and I am not really that impaired frankly, it is related to the resolution too and few other things.

Works for 3599 but not for 3614 unless there is a trick ?

Anyone got this working with FAF? I need it bad. Not as badly as I need to learn to play but even so
