FAF Lobby request. Chatroom tabs highlight on new messages

The newbie and tech support forums don't get used because people don't notice when there is new discussion. I think this is all that is needed for these channels to be used.

I'm not sure how useful the tech and newbie chat rooms are. The simple fact is that if anyone has a question, they just ask it in Aeolus.

Also: getting those tabs to blink is going to be annoying for people who don't need to go there or don't want to go there

If it bothers anyone they can just close the tabs. Those rooms have their purpose, that being to get newbie discussion and tech support out of aeolus.

Closing the tabs is an option, ok.

Anyway, if the purpose if to get the newbie talk and the tech questions out of Aeolus, then they're not really fulfilling that purpose. I checked the tabs just a few minutes ago and I saw only one person having typed one line in the hour I've been online. So if there was any talk, it's been Aeolus.

It may change over time, but I don't think that will happen.

Most ppls who are asking a question in the Newbie Chat or Tech Q. Chat aren't getting any answere because as you said ,all close the TABs or just don't check the other Chats.

I have also a suggestion for the Newbie Chat.I guess with a rating from 1k you don't get in the Chatroom anymore , but if a Newbie asks a question about some useful things no one can answere there ,or at least not many because al lthe others are in his level.
How about to get 1-2 kind of moderators(Without ChatKick or - ban rights) who have a good knowledge about FA to answere nearly every question.
Well ,they could ask in the Mainchat,but then the Newbie is useless.

When I started playing, I tried to use the newbie chat for basic questions like how to private chat someone, how to invite someone to your game, etc. I never got any response, and eventually had my questions answered in the main chat (where did that name come from?). Once I was refreshed on the finer details of the game (I've played SupCom before), I made a point of, when I logged on, posting "I will actually be moitoring and posting responses to questions in this thread between matches" in the newbie thread so that, hopefully, someone would use it. =P But soon after that, the newbie thread stopped appearing when I opened FAF (because I surpassed 1000 rating?), and I have no idea how/if it's even possible to get it back.

I'm not exactly a SupCom expert (already derped regarding two very specific unit stat questions on the forum, go me!), but I know more than enough to anwser a noob's questions, and am happy to devote my time between matches to that. If there is not a way to access the newbs thread once over 1000 rating, I highly suggest that one be added. (and if there is... how?)

Actually. Another good question is why can't we launch other chat rooms in the FAF lobby?
