The past few days I was trolling in Supcom 2 multiplayer a bit, making fun of the poor gamedesign (compared to Supcom2, FA is as thought-out as Starcraft 2...) and so on. However the units look alot better there, not only because the models and textures have an higher quality, but also the shaders are better.
So, since I know a bit about HLSL I tried to improve the FA Pixelshaders. Im not a professional so dont expect wonders( like to fix the broken selfshadowing). But imo I was at least a bit successful:
