Why all these NET 4 / VM restrictions thingys ?

I know this is really annoying, but the reason is simple : Avoid smurfing.

I'm not pro-DRM. People should say that DRM doesn't decrease the amount of pirate copies.
I highly doubt it's true, but I'm sure it's totally false in FAF case.

At first, there was no restriction at all. I thought people playing FA were smart.
Well, after a month, the minimal amount of account/user was about 5.

So I did a simple uniqueId thingy.

That reduced smurfing a lot, but some smart asses found some ways to counteract it.
They don't seem to understand that I didn't implement it for the sport, and that avoiding is a not challenge.

No, instead of that, they made me lose my time and I spent 3 days tighten the uniqueId system to defeat these methods. That's why there are these new restrictions.

And I'm sure it will not stop there. But they don't realize that the amount of time I spend on that is not spend of more awesome features like Galactic War.

So to these people : Stop being stupid. Because you are. And you annoy a lot of legit users with these new restrictions.

The next step is to tied your FAF account to your steam account. And I don't think you want to got there.

I admit that i understand some people can use 2 accounts ... one to play fun, one for rank ... it can be a way to think ... eventually.
But yes you are right some (stupid) people always like to play with lot of accounts or play like noobs even if they are pro or other things like that ...

it's sad to think really needed imporvements are paused because of unfair players.
One account seems enough for me ...

The problem is people hiding themselves behind these second account. If you create a account name "FoK_2" and don't use it for grinding some points (even it's very difficult to achieve with trueskill), it's probably okay.

Why on earth would anyone have more than 2 accounts is beyond me.

It seems like an "incognito fetish" to me, cos it doesnt do anything else . Besides, the good players rarely play with people they dont know ... so what on earth is the purpouse of another account then.
