FAF Activity in the future

Postby FreakshowTJ » 30 Aug 2012, 07:04

Im assuming that once Planetary Annihilation comes out alot of us Supreme Commander fans will be eager to buy and play. Does this mean that FAF will slowly die like GPGnet did? Unless PA some how becomes as bad as supcom 2. x)

I will probably get Planetary Annihilation, but it will of course come down to how much I enjoy it. Note that it is now 2012, and I have been playing this same game vastly more than any other game for almost that entire period, despite expanding my library of games considerably over this time.

Planetary annihilation seems different enough from FAF that people will still play this.

there is no reason to discuss about it, as you cannot really prevent it. I mean, in summer 2013 FA SupCom is 6 years and older, depending on when you started to play it. Thats quite an age for a game nowadays.

You know Spring (and therefore TA) is still existing in 2012.
Even if PA rocks and beat TA/FA (and I say IF) there will be FA freaks who wants to stay on FA.

I don't see it dying in the next 5 years. Maybe going back to the "niche-100 persons-playing" status, but that's all.
