I don't know what more you can do to convert Steam players to FAF. It already gets shilled constantly on the Steam forums. Usually people that haven't converted have reasons for not coming over. They're usually stupid as f*** reasons, but good luck convincing Fractal and his merry band of idiots otherwise.

getting playes to join is one thing keeping those players waning to stay is a whole other thing

Hounding players isn't the best approach. That just leaves stream players with a sour tastes of FAF players.

And on that note, its probably not a good idea to divide and label them and us as Steam and FAF players. We are all SupCom players. That way it's not taken as an insult to the players that play on Steam themselves.

I get it, you don't like it but admit it, that's an over exaggeration, have you tried steam balance recently? I have. go refresh your memory, it's absolutely loathsome.

And that's putting aside the fact you have nothing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING by which to tell which players are good which are bad other than your own experience of having already played with that player on steam in the past and your trusty excel sheet. OH WAIT. you can change pseudonyms on steam version and now your trail is lost.

So balance is a secondhand concern on steam.

So uh, I have an idea maybe. Some pretty big youtubers that specifically review obscure games like MandaloreGaming, and SsethTzeentach both actually have some hours in FAF already, especially SsethTzeentach who even included a screenshot from him playing FAF in his last video (https://youtu.be/JJd85HFq71c?t=474). Perhaps we could either get in touch with either of these boys, and maybe offer/ask them to make a promotional video about FAF? Also another surprisingly big influencer that plays/ed FAF was Linus from LTT, his FAF account is LinusTech, again could maybe see if they wouldn't mind doing some promotional stuff. On keeping new players, I reckon a really polished tutorial would be a great option, and let players press a button for queing in co-op matches vs bots, instead having to host themselves. But whatever, lets get some dank youtube promotion
