Nils half the time

I have opened up ports 6112, 9103, 30350 and 30351. I allowed them through my wall and still no luck. Only when I host am I really able to play, but then my ping spikes for no apparent reason and slows the entire game down resulting in others leaving the match. I do not have any downloads going when this occurs.
Please help! I have tired time and time again, but no luck...

use the new forum, and the support section and say where you are geographically and what other services/apps you might be running, and which of the two different faf clients you are using, what version, such as VPN ect. also include the faf.log file and error.log file.
