Just wondering peoples opinions on this. On the face of it, Plantary Annihilation looks to be the next big thing in RTS gaming, but you've got to remember that it is a small indepenent game studio developing it who aren't likely to attract a larger fanbase. Also the gameplay will be very different, rather than having a traditional flat battlefield it will take place on multiple planets which will be interesting but it won't fill the same niche as SupCom does. I for one am going to carry on playing SupCom as well. I started playing SupCom on GPGNet in 2007 and quit because my PC was too slow. We are talking Intel Pentium "M" 1.6Ghz, Geforce 6200 GPU with 16MB VRAM and 1GB of RAM. Now I've got a relative beast in comparison; an Intel T4300 Dual Core 2.1Ghz, ATI Radeon 4570HD with 512MB VRAM and 4GB of RAM. Anyway, when I came back to SupCom this Christmas, I was shocked to see the community in tatters, with the only thing holding it together being FAF. For such a new game, there is so much playability in it for years to come, it is so scalable that things just get better as technology improves. Only now can a high end machine play it smoothly, I just don't want to see people abandon this great game in favour of the next big thing. Looks like I can't post a poll unfortunately
