Forged Alliance Optimizations

Switching from SupCom original to Forged Alliance, I had heard that FA had been optimized in terms of CPU performance so I was expecting it to play very well on my modest rig, considering that SupCom original played quite smoothly. However I found the opposite. So has FA really been optimized or was that just hyperbole?

the whole simulation (mainly everything that needs cpu) is sadly coded mono threaded, there's no way to change it

Not what I heard! I heard it was more optimized than SupCom original.

I had the same problem Flynn. When FA came out, my rig at the time could NOT play it and I was forced to play vanilla for some time after purchasing FA until I was able to build a rig capable of playing FA. This was part of the reason SupCom never got big. Most people at the time couldn't even play the game on their Computers. And the console version just bombed.
