Really educational SupCom video

Postby Flynn » 22 Jan 2013, 09:54

I got this video from BC_BlackHeart in chat yesterday. It is recorded from ZLO_RO's perspective AS HE IS PLAYING. It really provides an interesting insight into how a pro player manages the strategy and micro and how they divide their attention between the two. I really suggest giving it a watch. He is a nice guy, too, spoken to him in person (well, over chat).

Is there an "Educational Video" forum post where we can view them in a nice and organized fashion?

Also, great video by ZLO_RD. I am just amazed at the clicks per second! No wonder i get my butt kicked XD

EDIT:
P.S.
I am having some difficulty figuring out how to use the reclaim function with, what I believe is, the Alt key? I can't seem to get it to work. I think I saw it being used in the video posted above, and would like to see if I can get it to work too.

rockoe just click on the engy, press alt + right mouse button ... thats all. you can use shift to make an attack move queue... (shift+alt+right mouse)

if your mass is full they just run to the end of the attack move order without reclaiming - in that case use patrol if you expect that could happen on their way ;) or redo the attack move if you recognize it ;)

Thanks a ton Discoverer. i think i had a full storage of mass, that could have been why it wasn't working. I'll be sure to give it a try :D

Really interesting to see it from a good player's point of view, thanks to you for posting and thanks to ZLO_RD for making it. No thanks to Youtube for their shitty streaming lately, you'd think that Google could afford all the servers in the world, but if it's still true that Youtube doesn't make money I can see why. Either way, I'm posting this whilst I wait for the third act to finish loading. :)

the youtube/google servers are almost never the problem. if youtube is slower than your internet speed, then your ISP cuts your speed.
so your ISP is the bad guy...

No, I'm sure it's YouTube's fault. I've got a stable 60Mb connection, and YouTube is only slow at peak times.
