Hello

I've been a long time SupCom/FA fan playing mostly LAN and SP campaign. I've played a few online matches before and hope to play more in the future thanks to this awesome sounding new lobby. Before installing this though, I had a few questions, so if someone here could please clear some things up for me.

1. I still enjoy playing the FA campaign every once in a while, does FAF modify it in any way?

2. I'm aware that FAF also comes with some mods (new units, experimentals, etc.) and while they sound great, am I forced to use them in online, skirmish or lan games? Could I just have the vanilla experience in FAF but with the bug fixes of the latest community patches?

That's pretty much it. I'm a huge supporter of what you guys are doing, this game is by far one of the best RTS I've ever played along with Sins of a Solar Empire. My favorites. I'm just a little worried that this will modify the game much more than I'd like.

No.

The new units, ... are in the Featured Mods section. Anywhere from there, you will play "vanilla FA" with FAF new patches.

Oh, one more thing, you said FAF doesn't affect the campaign, but do the bug/balance fixes from the latest patches translate to the campaign?

Quick question though, I noticed that the lobby default install directory is "C". Is there any way to select where to install it? No big deal, just curious.

You can move it - As long as it's not in a protected folder (program files, ...)
