Do you watch every replay where you have lost?

Postby Flynn » 31 Mar 2013, 16:08

I used to FORCE myself to watch every replay but I just can't be bothered anymore to torture myself with it. Most times it comes down to not doing the build order 100% perfect anyway, but I get bored of the usual routine.

Only when I don't understand why I've lost or when I want to see how I could have counter what I've lost to.

Never, really. I find them hardly entertaining. But of course, watching me win the games is a lot of fun.

It really helps me think I'm good.

Why do you guys always say to watch the replay then? I feel like I learn nothing from it.

Because we are assuming that you don't know why you've lost or how to counter it, as you are asking it.

I always watch replays in which I lost, as I'm curious as to what I did wrong and what my enemy did right. I'm on a loosing streak of about 10 games now :C

if i get sniped by t2 bombers i don't need the replay to see what happend (neither do you) the thing is, in my early times i often had replays where is just stand there and thought "how the hell did i lose?"

i dont have this game anymore, or at least the are getting rare, hen i lose i normally know what i did wrong or why the other one was better, i think this comes automaticly at some point

however a bit more general: i had people who helped me when i started on FAF especially ZBinden and Voodoo, you have what, 600 games (?) now, that means you dont had the point yet where you really understand why you lose (i'm just gussing atm) and you should look for somebody (preferable form your language) and just gives you a one mmin delayed live commentary on your game, i know it's basicly ghosting but, yeah, your opponent will get over it and maybe you can just find somebody who is ok with that anyway, but i dont see a problems to do that in ranked once or twice too (nobody can prove it anyway and it's ofc sometimes more distracting than helping)

Sheppy, I'm a casual with ~90 games. :P

I don't have a whole lot of time in between devving Nomads, School and other games, and to extend upon this I hate short 10-minute T1 spam matches, so all my games are long-ass rounds on 10x10-20x20km maps which usually end in a nuclear lolwar with armies of GCs mucking about.
