The combat repai8r units.

So we have harbingers and mantises being able to repair and reclaim. Because this feature isnt triggered in patrol mode, its only used for mantises as ACU upgrade assist unit.

Can we have automatic repair/reclaim in patrol mode just like with the engineer units?

If you want to do this the units have to stop repairing when under attack, not sure if that's an easy thing to do.

Units always prioritise attacking over other stuff (think of commander on patrol) and mantis can in fact repair and shoot different units at the same time.

Isn't repairing horribly inefficient anyways? If you use any more than 10% of the units mass you would have been better off killing it and reclaiming from what I've heard.

Unless if repair has been changed, I thought it was full cost.

That's assuming you can get the rebuilt unit where the original unit is faster than it would take to repair it. This is often the case, but not always. Also, if the ACU is the repair target in question, then obviously...

Repairing is more efficient than reclaim and rebuild. You can usually just rebuild one quicker than repairing it. If they're on low life then it doesn't make sense wasting buildpower and micro to repair them when you could just reclaim the mass back from a nearly dead unit.

Repair is always less efficient than rebuilding. Think: You have 2 damaged rhino tanks. That's 200% rhino DPS and 100% rhino health between the two of them. If you repair both, for the cost of 1 rhino, you now have 200% rhino DPS and 200% rhino health. If you instead leave them alone and make another rhino, for the cost of 1 rhino you will now have 300% Rhino DPS and 200% rhino health. Same cost to repair + build new, but build new has 50% more DPS.
