Is there a large community still?

Postby Bastion of Divinity » 21 May 2013, 07:46

I used to play supcom when it first came out and I'm thinking about getting back into it. I was wondering if people still play on FAF, and if so how many. I don't still have my disk so I would have to buy it again on steam.

edit: Just for the record found out about FAF from Gyle's casts on youtube.

You can login and judge by yourself, you don't need FA to run FAF :)

There is allot of people playing and they have mad skills. Good luck, I'm still trying to catch up after 60+ matches. This game is a lesson in humility.

Hey Bastion!

The community gets more and more active towards the evening (GMT time), so if you want the best first impression, log in at that time (GMT 6-10 PM) :)

Looking forward to meet you on the battlefield.. ^^
I'm watching you!

Well took your advice Pilot, and I'm more than impressed. That's a swarm more players than I expected to see. I will definitely be getting FA again. My only disappointment was that Bastion of Divinity was a letter too long, so I opted for just Divinity. Thanks to all of you for the quick response.

It's currently the time of the day where there is the least players online.

The peak time are in about 10 hours, and you can expect 4x more people than now.

The community now is as large as I've ever seen it, and it just keeps growing. I've seen the "Online Players" peak over 700 at times.
Economy for New Players | LAN Party List supports the FAF community.

:-) I was in exactly the same situation (~3 month ago). It is still played and the faf client is much better then the clumsy gpg client those days.
My advise: Buy Forged alliance on steam (you don't need supcom vanilla), watch some of the great faf tutorials and enjoy playing !
