Week 2 Marathon - Patch 3630

Postby Ze_PilOt » 15 Feb 2014, 13:30

I won't have time this weekend to do the "standard" marathon cast (doesn't change the fact that every feature will be done, it will just take one more week).

Instead, I will do smaller cast every day, showing how integrating bug fixes into FA works.

Patch 3630 will include:
- Late bug fixes from Brute 51 (bombers and Area of effect fixes).
- Integrating GazUI and Hotbuild into FA.
- Integrating Duncane AI.
- Checking some potential memory leaks pointed by Resin Smoker.
- Some potential big tweaks that I have to check first :)
- Tweaking some lobby stuff.

"- Integrating GazUI and Hotbuild into FA."
Great to read, but will those GazUI/Hotbuild bugs regarding cheat menu and hotkey menu be fixed?

This. I really don't want my modding to be fucked up because these stupid things make the hotkeys vanish.

I don't know what is making the hotkey vanish, but it's certainly not the gazUI I'm using and planning to integrate.

I mentioned it's existance and pointed You to a source just day ago, and You already scheduled it to next patch? I must say I'm surprised (very positively) and impressed. You've got +1 for that man, and believe me, that's not gonna happen everyday

P.S. I for example found another awesome mod (visual quality at Total Mayhem level - this 2 actually outclass any other mod out there in terms of visual quality) named Wivern Battle Pack. This should be featured for sure.
Supreme Commander FAF, Supreme Commander 2 RVE, Planetary Annihilation: Titans - those are only good RTS games left!

as far as i know, hotbuild of any version, when you press reset, deleting all cheat menu hotkeys and you can't bring them back unless you delete game.prefs or edit it manually.

Are you sure ZLO? I cant remember what version I am running but I have reset the keys multiple times and never had any problems.

It's running unzipped though, but that shouldn't make a difference.

i have hotbuild and cheats working - i read somewhere on these forums the problem occurs when you reset keys to default - then change something to a different key and then use reset to default again - so as long as you only use that option once you should be fine
