Rank system

the new rank system can be annoying for new players, like, if you saw a rank zero player, probably you will not want to play w/ him... so at least for new player the old rank system(update at the same time) would be better!

I must be weird (or still too new) but i always want to play with 0 rating/0 game players. They need to learn too. Like i needed to learn when i first started. The annoying thing is that during first 5 minutes you need to do a fair few things that you can't go:

"Hey new guy, glad you could join in this fine game. See in their infinite wisdom they have decided that new guys need to play front first on Setons so what you want to do is build first your land factory and then go reclaim in the mid. In fact there is an excellent video by TA4life on youtube. You might want to go watch that. "

Instead mostly new guys experience a few kicks from games then when they get to play it's "Go reclaim." "OMG, goooo" and then the new guy is like "Holy nubcakes batman where did all those tanks come from?"

There is no stopping that initial failing and subsequent loathing of new players by guys with 50+ games who at least have an inkling of what to do. No matter how you tweak the rating. New guys will always have to deal with that giant first step into FAF. And i don't think there are enough new players to create a kiddie pool where an experienced player goes observer and goes:" Alright ladies (as if but one can hope) and gents this is how this game goes. bla bla bla"

I like the system ...
I give a 0 ranked player a try ...
They have now some time to play,
without getting a bad rating ;)

but for some players don't do this...
For example, I want to make a 2v2 game, my rank is 900, my teammate is 1000, my enemy is 1100, but the other guy is 0... so you can't know if he is noob or he is a rank 800...

I like the new rank system, but, like what I say before, can be very annoying for those players that want to play a custom game

You have to understand things from the point of view of your team mates. If you are totally new to the game you are essentially helpless. Which means you will be sending your ally into a 2v1 match and also most certain chance of loosing. Dragging your team mates down isn't nice. So I recommend you gain experience by playing 1v1 missions. Then enter team matches at your current skill level.

For new players, there are usually team games hosted with "noobs only" or "Noobs Welcome" or "<800" in the title. That would be a good place to start. Or host your own game titled "noobs welcome".

Also, learning SupCom-FA by playing Setons is probably not a good plan. Recognize that Setons is really a game within a game. As such,it has its own rules and expectations amongst the usual 4v4 Setons players.

So go host a game and good luck.
