Why do we have separate ranks for ladder and non-ladder? If ladder rank is used for matchmaking, it's often badly off. Players typically have a much lower ladder rank than the other rank. I'm not really sure what the "other" ranking should be called. I've been getting matched up with players who are way stronger than their ladder rank, I think because most people don't bother with ladder matches very often. You end up with people ranked 300-400 points too low in ladder IMHO. I've looked them up afterwards, and their "Other" ranking is almost always way higher. When you get matched up with someone who is 200 points higher than you in ladder rank, it could be 500-600 points higher than you using their "other" or "true" rank.
Why don't we do away with one of the rankings and just use 1 rank instead of having 2?
