Modding in new unit sounds

First of all, I know how to add "regular" sounds into the game.

I've been trying to add new unit sounds into the game. Sounds like an hover ambient sound loop, different weapon sounds, etc. The problem is that I can't seem to get around the RPC settings in the XACT file. Every time I add RPC settings the game will throw an error on start up saying "Invalid data". I know I need to use specific RPC settings to get sounds like GPG did in FA. Without RPC the sounds work fine. I've tried nearly everything short of hacking the XGS file. Has anyone gotten this working?

Seems that RPC presets should be edited with care :)
