How to visually mark unit icons?

Postby necxelos » 20 Feb 2014, 00:31

Is there any way to mark somehow original units icons (the ones in factory and in selection - not strategic ones) to distinguish them from mod units? Right now I'm marking mod units manually with little symbol but it's a pain.

Would be nice to load any mod and see on the first glimpse which units are new and which are old.

You could edit all of the icons of the original game ... eg: make them greyscale.
Then when any mod comes in and adds some new images, they will look bright (normal).

I was thinking about something more automatic. Like a script that detects which mods are loaded and marks their units with some small but distinguishable icon.
