Any ways to stay at a specific patch?

Is there a way to leave the game at a specific FAF patch? I play mostly single player for now and a lot of changes are being made for the game and I can't keep up as I am not as hardcore as a lot of people here (eg ; the new factory mechanic with HQ) and I seem to understand that there will be a new faction pushed in a patch soon... I might give a try to all that eventually, but I would like to know if there is a way to install a specific version... Can I just install FAF and copy the files of located in Program Data on top of wathever is installed?

HQ mechanic can be unchecked in hosting lobby (unit restriction "no support factories" i think), as a low level players you wont notice most of the changes.
You a free to make your own mod and upload it to the modvault though.

Ok it seems the changes are not that radical and can be toggled on and off. Thank you guys for your answers.
