If you like to see Diamond Mod as featured mod post your demand in this thread. If enough people will want it Ze_Pilot will put it as featured mod and it may have little balance/bugfix updates done by me in future. In short Diamond focuses more on big battles and games usually last longer. It has its own tech level system and slightly different economy.

Im interested in trying the mod if for no other reason than checking the beam hit boxes. Other players however might find this a nice stepping stone from 3599 to 6312 balance and game mechanics. The game play seems tighter than 3599, I really dont know how it will play but I think it could be fun and there could be some gems that could make its way into the games in a broader context. Im gonna +1 this...

As long as Seraphim battleships are primarily considered as nuke launchers and not attacking units (cost is much higher than other battleships even though you may not even want to build a single nuke with it) in Diamond mod, I can't, as a Seraphim player, see myself ask for Diamond as a featured mod.

Without this main balance quirk, I certainly would.

I take that as a yes cause little things like that can be adjusted if there is clearly an issue. That's the beauty of featured mod :)

You mean that if it is made as a featured mod, you will take into account feedback to improve it and adjust a few things?

I disagree with this. Diamond mod is good, but most of its changes are merely bugfixes, with FAF already includes. The rest are just balance changes that make game-ending weapons harder to use, namely nukes, strong ACU upgrades, and experimentals.
