It seems to me that Building/Repair speed only depends on build time
Looks like Reclaim speed only depends on Energie cost
But what about Capturing speed? is it related to unit HP or something? xD

just tryed 2 units with 2000 build time

and capturing t2 navy fac was faster so it obviosly depends on some kind of ratio
But i am tired to figuring out miself even if it is kinda funny

SO, does any one know witch speed depend on what stat?


Edit: looks like capturing depends only on build time, it is just something wrong with naval support factory so value in game and database not match or something like that

so yee i already figured that out, was confused by that navy support fac...

i would never think that reclaim speed depends on energie cost

Whenn you say reclaim time - do you mean capture time? Yeah it's based on E - uh I thought you of all people would know this

when i say Reclaim speed only based on energie cost i mean that unit that cost 1000 energie will be reclaimed 10 times faster than unit that cost 10 000 energie (given that they have full hp ofc), and any other stats do not matter at all

(Example: Reclaiming 1 ASF takes same time as reclaiming 20 t1 pds - 40 000 power cost both)

when i say capture speed based on build time i mean that unit with 3000 build time 2 times faster to capture than unit with 6000 build time (given that you have enought energie to capture) any other unit stats do not matter at all

(Example: capturing 2 asf brick and resto all takes same time, 6000 build time for all of them (asf 3000 build time so 2 asf = 6000 build time)

ofc more build power you have for capturing/reclaiming/building - faster it goes

I was playing with repair and reclaim and found that it takes 10 ACUs to repair land factory and 7 ACUs to reclaim it at the same time so hp will not go up or down while you reclaim/repair, hp is static and you found balance

i did same for air fac, ratio was 10 ACUs build 8 ACUs reclaim

AND THEN I TRYED T2 MEX LOL
it didn't work with ACUs for some reason
then i tryed t1 engyes, and i was adding more and more but i hit unit cap and didn'y find balance...

then i tryed with t2 engyes
312 t2 engyes on repair and 144 on reclaim and i was not able to find that balance
then i started to count in buld power not in engy amount
and i found that balance in somewhere in between 3903/1800 build power and 3903.5/1800 build power (3903 on repair and 1800 on reclaim)
so i assumed that balance in somewhere around 3903.25 lol)

then i look at t2 mex stats, and it has 1171 build time (that is a freaking prime number lol)
i started suspecting that is reason that i can't get this balance ratio done

cause when i make repair it is obviosly takes in account build time, and if reclaim would do that, i would be able to get that ratio (i was reclaiming and reparing same unit so build time should not matter)

then i made kind of equasion, so it takes 3903.25 build power to build t2 mex at the same time as to 1800 build power to reclaim it
so 1171/3903.25 = 0.3000064 and 5400 (power cost of t2 mex) divided by 10 (out of nowhere) and then divided by 1800 also gives me 0.3 :D

so i tested with other stuff and math seems to work

i always thought that hydro is so fast to reclaim cause it has low build time and high HP, but now i know it is cause it power cost is low...

so reclaim time is (power cost / 10) / build time

i don't know if i would be able in game to evaluate if it's better to reclaim or capture an unit..
i only know it's better to capture a pd than reclaim it.
but i don't know for factory, i suppose factory is better to be reclaimed.

i think it is better to reclaim walls around PD adn then shoot it (you will also able to dodge arty :) )

dunno about capturing factory
i do not have capture speed formula, i only can say that "this" is "N" times longer to capture than "this"
i do not even know how much power it consume, it is different for diff units or not or whatever

well it's faster to capture facto, and pd than reclaim.
but reclaim facto is faster than kill it with gun.
and kill pd is faster than reclaim pd. (capture wall doesn't stop pd from shooting at you :/ )

Okay - so the test is cap versus reclaim?

In real world tgerms - like which should you do? The answer is depends. Sometimes capping an enemy factory is worth the wait.

In terms of pure numbers - and this is just off the top of my head it works with formulas similar to building

So capture would be E-cost/BuildPower & reclaim would be HP/Buildpower - although just thinking about it - it could be mass cost. A good way to verify this would be check wreck reclaim. I'm thinking it's HP/BuildPower

While you're all at it: find the formula for assisting shields as well :)

If you have a T3 ACU and all kinds of spam walks by, reclaim is often faster than shooting.
