Average player rating is about 150 points higher per extra monitor.

Most people use the second monitor to chat on aeolus while playing, so yes there is a correlation, but not in the way you thought

I never got the use for two monitors while playing FA. I tried but it distract me more than giving me an extra edge over my opponent.
When I played on my best level (MY level, I was never a top player), it was on a shitty laptop, with a shitty keyboard and a normal mouse.
Dedication is way more important than material.

This!

I used to use two for playing, and while it was nice, I'd much rather run in windowed mode so I have access to chat, email, and the 100 other things I distract myself with while playing.

I run FA in windowed mode on a 27.5" LCD and have FAF and other things on a 21" next to it.

I was getting used to the minimap so i could keep an eye on my scouts but most of the new maps have messed up the minimap :/

I used to play on 2 monitors, and it was great... until something happened.
Game just started to freeze at random time, and I figured ot it was due to 2nd monitor

So I had to discard such a great opportunity of "megamap" :cry:
