Black screen with FA cursor on game load

I'm a first timer on this FAF site. It seems great! But I cannot get a game to load after it has selected a map to play on. I get an immediate black screen EVERY time, and with waiting it does not go away. I've closed FA and retried. Still nothing. HELP!

Spectating live games works fine.

You probably needs to read the wiki about connection problems.
