Bugs with Aircraft carriers/Czars

I am surprised that this bug hasn't been addressed. If you tell an aircraft carrier or Czar to build aircraft it builds like 1 and then stops, even if you have put it on infinite build. This obviously renders their unit making abilities useless which is quite a shame.

i'm actually pretty sure that infinite build worked for me on CZAR.. are you sure that the CZAR did not shoot or something while building the units?

Yeah maybe that happened actually. I just kinda lumped them all together. I'm just surprised because zep is so good at addressing issues yet this minor thing is still a problem :lol:

Graciously donated my time testing for you:

CZAR/Carriers build more than 1, with inf build. It never stopped building.
CZAR/Carriers build more than 1, with inf build. Spawned enemy czar/atlantis near it. It never stopped building, despite shooting at the enemy CZAR/carrier as long as they didn't move (ie. CZAR moving to shoot atlantis).

Hopefully you are not thinking you can move and build units at the same time...

The problem is not moving, the problem is giving order : An unit can only have one concurrent order (even you can stack them).

No I must have moved them as the post above zep's implies. I didn't realise that they coulldn't move and build at the same time. Seems a bit weird TBH! I guess it something no one has got round to fixing, cause there are more important things right now :lol:

this will not be fixed - its unchangeable the engine of the game afaik.
the only exp who moves during shitting out units is the megalith ;)

Maybe it's possible to hack a way around the bug (like the UEF pod rebuild), but I don't have the time to investigate more.

One idea would be to save the queue somewhere, launch a separate build thread like the UEF pod (the hardest thing would be to get the time & cost right, with no assist exploit possible), and re-do the normal build queue once the order is done. Or something like that.

is it thinkable to make a "ghost air factory" which is invisbile and is linked to aircraft carrier/czar? the factory gets the build queue and the czar does every other stuff (move / attacking) ? if a fighter gets finished it will "teleported" to the czar/a.carrier?! :)
