Connection Issues after forwarding ports

Often, I get stuck at "connecting" or it loads and then stops at a blank screen with just the cursor. I have proof that I have forwarded the correct ports and even tried 7001 now:




I have tried UPnP which made it worse! I have also disabled all Avast! real time shields which did nothing to help and I have tried gaming mode. I have tried hosting a game and searching for

in the server log but found nothing. I have changed it back to 6112 and it doesn't even let me host. I have also tried with and without DMZ, it makes no difference but even if it did it would only be temporary because it is too dangerous.

You ass 7001 TCP, is UDP

Yes I think that's your problem.

Also the server LAN IP is 192.168.0.
Try using your real LAN IP : 192.168.0.3.

Once you've put a rule for a port, NEVER use uPnP at the same time, it will do nothing at best but probably will conflict.

Okay I thought this was working but I just got another "The remote host has closed the connection" error message a few minutes ago.

Probably because the server was restarted ?

I am still getting blank screens with only the cursor on them! Sort it out!!! It doesn't happen all the time, just some of the time.
