Tournament Idea

I had a tournament idea so I thought I would post it here to see what people would think. It could be called the "Trainer Cup"

The idea would be to get maybe 20 people to sign up with a rating between 1000 and 1500. Then each player would be assigned a trainer. We would announce the maps right away and it would be a standard 1v1 format with a loser bracket. The goal would be for a trainer to help their assigned player win the tourney by practicing the maps.

On a Saturday or Sunday at a fixed time we would have the tourney to see who was trained best .

We would of course need to see how many trainers would be interested before we set a limit on how many people could play. 20 people might be the maximum we could do depending on how much time people think it would take.

Hopefully that is clear enough for people to understand. It is just an idea inspired from the Revolution tourney.

Good idea, and should avoid some of the problems revolutions had, because less players=less problems

how about a small and simplified version of the revolution.
basically that its a series of 2v2s and the trainer plays with the "apprentice"
apprentice must have under 1350 ranking and trainer must have over 1750
that shouldnt be as complicated as the revolution tourney.

and what about the guys between 1300 and 1750

weeeeell lets say they are the "special observers"
if it would just be one over 1500 and one under 1500 there could be a 1450 and a 1650 guy sp there wouldnt be much of a trainer role.
but it would be possible if there has to be a minimum rating difference of around 400
