And so, starting with week 2 :

3. Weekly FAF Tournement - 2v

This is one of the weekly FAF 1v1 and 2v2 tournements.
They will be hosted each weekend at the same time with standard rules.
The best matches of the tournement will be casted, sometimes live.
So even if you are not playing, make sure you don't miss it!

1v1 will be Friday 18:00 GMT
(20:00 CEST; Europe / 14:00 EDT; Eastcoast)
2v2 will be Saturday 17:00 GMT
(19:00 CEST; Europe / 13:00 EDT; Eastcoast)

This is the 2v2 Tournement - Sign up only for 2v2, not for 1v1

IMPORTANT: Sign up only with one player of your team, not both!


Rules:
Swiss Style
Default Options
60 minutes timelimit per round (real time, might get extended)
Share setting: Full share; if both teams agree you can put no share.

Maps:
Round 1: Dry Canyon
Round 2: Open Palms
Round 3: Strip Mine
(only if needed:)
Round 4: Crossfire Canal
Round 5: suprise map (of 2v2mappool)

Prices:
The highest placed player of each rating section will get:
-above 1800: Tournement Winner
-1200-1800: Place: Faction Face
-under 1200: Place: Faction Logo

additional Rewards:
-Tournament Participant Avatar for everyone who plays to the end
-Special Avatar for 10 completed weekly tournements
-Community voted "Winner of Hearts" Avatar
for the best performing Underdog, or best Fight

The tourney got off to a very late start due to noob TD. Next time I will have sorted out the prep work as I now know what it is. There were some dropouts and no shows but in the end there 8 teams with a further team dropping.

Notable mentions.
The dirty, mad, cheating russians once again cleaned up. They did play very well as they normally do.
Good to see that Galacticfear is capable of playing something besides setons, very capable as it turns out. Well done there Gala.
Winner of Hearts goes to Speed2 with judojojo also polling well in the votes, hat goes off to both of you but there can only be one winner and that goes to Speed2.

Thanks once again to all those that participated for your patience, things didnt run as smooth as I would like but next time they will. There were some good games but dominated by those russians, well done guys.

Outcome of the fifth 2v2 tournament, as it goes:

Winner of tournament - RA_ZLO, teamed with RA_MadMozart;
1800 - 1200 bracket - Lapin_, teamed with DarkSide40;
under 1200 bracket - no participants.

Instead of the missing u1200 bracked i wanted to give away the second pleace of tourny avard, but there was a tie between teams (BC_Napalm - TA4Live), and one of them (TA) ddnt have time to play. Up to higher in ranks i now give decision if BC_Napalm and BC Joly could get the reward for the second pleace.

under 1200 bracket - no participants.
