FAF implementation hotbuild lacks customization

Today I feel sad, it feels like my long time friend Hotbuild as I know it has left me.
For most people it is great that HB has been added to faf

After I used Hotbuild for the first time I did not really like the keymapping.
I found out pretty soon that Warma had changed it.

I got an message that the post looks to spammy, I am not allowed to post a url.
So I modifed the url, deleted the h t t p part

Messing it with hotbuild for a while I changed some settings and got my own keymapping.

The implementation that faf currently has does not allow to change the combination structure + unit.
I wish it would be somehow possible to be able to change which structure and which unit(s) are bound to a key separately.
Or be able to disable gazui/hb as it is implemented in faf and be able to run the old mods.

I do not have the skills to create a complicated mod like hotbuild.
Does anybody have an idea to get my old keymappings back?

Can be done in the future. Nobody requested it.

That would be really great.

I just reinstalled the old hotbuild and the game.prefs.
It seems to override the new one.

Well the FAF one is "safe" and clean, so yes, using a hotbuild mod on top of it won't do anything bad, except messing with your keybinding a lot, and breaks some on several occasions :)

If my keybinds break ill just put my backup game.prefs back.

yea some functionality seems to have gone

for example i previously used e for radar and alt +e aswell as shift+e for reclaim - that way i could start manual reclaim either right now - or after their current orders

now i'm forced to use shit + e for radars? (which doesnt make a lot of sense for that structure)

e is radar for me and shift+e is reclaim (on the new integrated one)

Orders which use shift + key wont work anymore if just that key is part of the hotbuild commands. Like your example of radar and reclaim.

Zep has hotbuild so it uses the key the same if you are holding shift and press e it just takes that as a queue'd radar and ignores the command to reclaim or attack or patrol etc.

Edit: Perfect example is shift G no longer works if you have g in the hotbuild binds

I've added a fix in the code for that : If the shift-key is already kind, it doesn't override your binding.

All the keys are back ("Hotbuilding - Extra" section in keybinding).
