Maps that are not blue in this list are in the ladder pool, ladder spawn will be used for these except otherwise stated and the most recent version of them. Maps marked blue are written in their precise name so you can load them from the map vault. Spots are stated.
The rules:
The tournament is single elimination. At the beginning of the first round the pairings will be selected by random, after that the usual pairing-matching will take place (winner1 vs winner2, winner 3 vs winner 4, ...).
The contestants play a Best of 5 in each round against each other. A win gets 1 point for the winner, a draw 0.5 points each and a loss 0 points. In case of 2.5-2.5 the players play alternating Summer Duel and Winter Duel, starting with Summer Duel until someone wins one game. One round will last from Monday to the following Sunday. The players can arrange their matches as they please and play whenever they want during this time period. If they fail to communicate or get an arrangement done, a fixed date is in place, which is always Saturday 6 pm German time (GMT+2). If one of the players is there at this time and the other is not, that means a 3-0 free win for the one being there. If neither of the players is there at this time (and having no arrangement to play until Sunday) that means a disqualification for both and ban of any tournament i will be hosting in the future and also a free win for the person having to play the winner of that match in the next round. In case of real life issues or other things communicate early, so we can find a solution together.
The maps will be selected with the following method:
On Sunday the maps for the next round will be announced. Out of every category ( 5x5, 10x10, 20x20) there will be one map out of the category randomly drawn and be a map for the week. That means you will play one 5x5, one 10x10, and one 20x20 sized map. Once a map has been picked by this random selection, it wont be selected in a later round of the tourney again. After that its the players choice: Each player is allowed to select one map out of the tournament map pool that he has not played in that round against his opponent which will then be played. The player with less points starts selecting first, in case of equal points the lower rated one (global rating) will select his map first. That means you will in each round play 5 different maps, with at least one 5x5, one 10x10 and one 20x20 sized map.
The pairings will be posted in the next post after this one and will be randomly drawn which will be streamed by me.
Additional Rules:
A match for the third place will be played in the setup explained above.
Issues will be decided on by Gorton who has to obey the rules post here.
If in lobby a faction-choice battle begins (you pick aeon?? then i pick aeon too - then i pick cybran - no then i pick UEF, .. etc) both have to play random faction.
Changes to the rules can be made if something shows as bad or not fitting, Gorton has the last word on tourney decisions.
edit 1(08.10.2014) : Disconnects lead to a win to the non-disconnecting player (the one staying in game and watching the others acu explode). No mercy time and no replaying of games to avoid disconnecting after a bad early game for example (except both players agree to rematch).
edit 2: If players want to play with disabled t3 aa, they are welcomed to do that. Also playing with RKs explosions (latest version) is allowed. Both of this only is allowed when both players agree, if one disagrees, standard rules apply.
