Newbie (SUPCOM 1, FA & 2 Player) [SOLVED]

Hi all,

I've become addicted to the Gyle casts (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzY7MBSgNLZOMxMIFwtf2bw) and want to get into FAF!

Stupid question probably - do I need the original Forged Alliance game?

If so is Steam the best way to go?

Also unfortunately when I played FA my old computer couldn't hack it (it could SUPCOM 2 however) - so I'm getting a new one.

Do you think either of this would be good enough to play on:

You do need a copy of Forged Alliance, however any version will do; retail or digital dist. Steam is pretty easy and that's what I use, mostly because I'm lazy and can't find my disks.

I suspect that would be fine, but I can't say for sure. I run FAF on a computer much, much worse than the one listed there, and it runs fine as long as I avoid the larger games. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on how FA computes will be able to give an accurate answer.

Yes, Steam is ok. The game is pretty cheap anyway.

The Notebook you linked can easy handle FA. (no match for a Desktop PC, but no worries, there always will be guys with slower PCs in your game. ALWAYS )

BTW, you only need forged alliance you don't need the original supcom. Forged alliance is a standalone game. Hope that saved you €5
