need help with templates [SOLVED]

need help with templates

After I highlight a few buildings and push the template button, nothing happens, and my engineers and com have no templates. Also, I can't save game options presets. It asks me for a name, I type sandbox, then hit okay, but nothing happens.

Make a user profile in the default FA first.

What Kopia said. You need to open your standard version of FA (be that steam or cd) and create a user profile. This gives you a game.prefs file where your settings, hotbuild, templates etc is all stored.

Brilliant! I haven't used my steam FA yet, besides installing it. I'll let you know if that works.
