Total Mayhem Bugs

We need always a game.log!

Please start a game with only Total Mayhem enabled, then play and wait for the bug. Quit the game and post the game.log here.

If you start the game over FAForever client:

Start the FAForever client and select "Play" on the lower button bar.
Now you can see in the upper right corner "Options".

Click Options->Settings->Save Game Logs

Now you can find your game.log file here:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\logs\game.log


If you like to start a non online game with a Desktop shortcut:

Make a desktop-shortcut from the file:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe
(Rightclick the file and select "Send to" -> Desktop Shortcut")

Open the shortcut and change the Command line (target):
from:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe
to:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe /init init_faf.lua /log C:\ProgramData\FAForever\logs\game.log

Now, if you start the game with your new shortcut, the log will also be stored in:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\logs\game.log

If you use a shortcut, make sure you first update the game with the FAForever client.
(Start the client and klick "Play". Then Host a "FAF" game with no players. Wait for the gameupdate)

Hey
When I'm playing multiplayer with my friend, after some minutes we both getting a kind of freeze. We can command everything but we the game wont move on. When we tap out the game turns into a black screen and we have to close it over task manager.

I can't post a url to my log file...

you can attach logs to your post with the upload attachment thingy right below the text box
edit: the game log you posted says the game time was 32 seconds
fyi the game.log file will be overwritten every time you launch a new game so please make sure to post log files before starting a new game/joining a lobby

Hello ch1w4y,

as PhilipJFry already stated, your game.log only shows a 32 second long singleplayer game .

Sine this is the first gamefreeze i hear about, please first check Total Mayhem without any other mods activated, and see if the freeze still occurs.

Hey
I play Total Mayhem with some other mods. TVG Offical, Blackops FAF: ACU v12, Blackops FAF: Unleashed v12. So yeah it's very obvious, that this could be the problem. But maybe you finde a Fix :)

blackops v12 is outdated
get v14 from the vault
in your log i see an error being spammed that indicates that you use some non stereo audio setting in windows
you might want to change your audio output to stereo
there also appear to be some git files in your mod directory; not sure if they break stuff but they most certainly don't help either

Have been having issues with desyncs that is isolated down to Total Mayhem 1.33. Finally managed to get log files from a game. Normally I try to play with Total Mayhem + black Ops V14 and Black Ops ACUs V14, but for purpose of testing and isolation, the log is from a game with ONLY Total Mayhem enabled. Both of us have checked for duplicate mods in the steam directory, there are none. Both of us have (supposedly, I know I have and told him to; he said he did but I am not so sure) entirely emptied out the FAF mod directory and performed a fresh install of Total Mayhem and Black Ops (Total Mayhem from the thread here, black ops from the vault). He reports the mod icon being a yellow block instead of the explosion as it should be and suspect the root of the problem is on his end.

They log is from a very short game, but nearly half a dozen desyncs were encountered.

the posted log is fine. no errors or wrong installation paths.

But i am not sure, if this is your log.

The log is saved on the PC "HerrDoktor-PC" from player "Shruggzilla".
The connected client is "MWLLnull".
But your name is CommisarKharne, and your set as FAF name "no idea".

Well, in any cases i need a game.log from "the other guy" who connected to this game.

HerrDoktor-PC is my system. The FAF name in the forums is set to that because I was just returning after a long period and, in fact, had no idea what FAF account was logged in. Shrugzilla is my friend and the person that hosted the match at that particular time. I pulled the logs myself because he isn't bright enough to do it himself. The information from the log is correct, it is just a client log (though, there should be no functional difference between that and a log from the host).

I'll see if I can get the great inept one to generate a log, but I have my doubts.
