Attack oh hold

So how exactly does it work?
When i was attacking a planet, i saw attack on another one from UEF, so i decided to go and fight there. Put my attack on hold on tried to attack where UEF were attacking. It was 30% for cybran so i couldnt defend, np i just launch an attack there as well (btw in this case, if i was to attack and win, will cybran gain +10% to occupation as well? i know if you're just defending you wont get any % but this was attack from both sides). I get the message "you cant attack more than 1 planet at once", but i put my attack on hold. Is it supposed to be so? And i cant take my attack back to continue, it is on hold now (planet 96) and i think will just expire and i lose credits i spent on it... Also, noone else seem to take that attack for themselves too.

Yep, just as i thought it expired while i could do nothing about it.
