Imbalanced matches - an idea

At the moment a lot of games are completely unbalanced. Let's face it, ~1000 rating guy vs ZLO isnt fun. For neither of them. So what about this.
Beside the GW rank you get for example a small color point next to your name which indicates the skill level.
For example:

0-500 Grey
500 - 1000 Green
1000 - 1300 Bronze
1300 - 1600 Silver
1600 - 2000 Gold
2000 - 2400 Platin

Now, a lower rated guy can decide to not play a platin guy.
In order to not promote noobbashing there must be something to prevent high level players to farm the noobs they can now identify. For example: If there are other atacks with higher rank players, the high level player gets a message alà "we need your skills elsewhere, let's the rekruts take this noob".

Is anything like this planned? Do you think it's a good idea?

i like it galactic war does need a balancing system that allows good battles, which are fair, it would also prevent brand new players being attacked by more veteran players.

Think something like that could be a good idea, although the anonymity thing is cool it does also lead to imba games. I guess some of it is addressed by the intelligence idea, spotting players, tagging who they actually are etc, but certainly I feel completely useless. Played a dozen games and identified 3 different players that I'd fought, all were at 1500 -1800 and I'm about 1K (but over-rated at 1K), lost all the games them badly and so I'm actually a liability to my team. Given the ratio of better players the only use I can be in GW to put attacks on hold for other people.

I think this would encourage pros to defend against noobs in order to get free wins.

like i say in the first post this must be prevented by not allowing them to defend noobs or getting a penalty for it

how about reaching high ranks is actually hard?
that means you get rank by your rating basically.
right now, that would be a problem since players that are good anyways would get the good reinforcements.
but that can be fixed by seperating the ranks from which reinforcements you can use.
i would really like if when you see an elite commander you are like shiieeeet.
right now reaching ranks is easy. i have 37 wins but only actually fought and won 3-4 times

no i dont like that, i dont want to change mechanics i want to see a place for lower rated players, and not only as a solar plant for credits

if you make the higher rank players the only ones who can have t3 reinforcements you are going to make very good players, unbeatble

I'm not sure if displaying the rank would change much. Btw. why use colors and not just a ranking numbers?

Just my two cents; It could also be an option to have separate galactic wars for each of the level ranges mentioned by you.
