Petition for reinforcements to be brought via gate

This is a petition for reinforcements to be brought in via warp/quantum gate rather than air transport.

The functionality exists in the mod already. GW client just has to use it.

That is a cool idea especially for your core worlds. It makes sense that units would use the Quantum network. Maybe only external planets use transports

the reinforcements will barely have an impact when you're that lategame imo.
and from my knowledge, a unit has to be specifically made so it can withstand a quantum gate jump so it isnt nuch more logic either.

To be clear : The function funkOff is talking about is NOT using gateway.

It just spawn the units like the ACU does.

It doesn't even make sense though. It makes sense that it costs money to travel through the quantum gate... and that when you are attacking a new planet, you have nothing there except what travels through the gate. Why not have defender reinforcements go through air and attacker reinforcements go through gate?

You are paying for a second secret operative commander to gate near your position and build units that he can give you by air transport when they are ready.

Also, looks cooler to see 100 T1 tanks coming by transport than a spawning from thin air. (I know it's not viable to do that now, but it doesn't mean that it wouldn't be in the future).

I really don't get it. It's not like the gating effect is impressive or anything.
