Ne to SupComm: FA. Super slow pacing! Normal?

Long time RTS lover here decided to try the classic supreme commander forged alliance and I am a little disheartened. Is there a way to speed up the game? At the time I'm playing campaign and I just cannot not get bored by the stupendous amounts of time everything takes to actually build.

Is there a way to change that or is it just the way the game is?

when you hsot the game in the option when your in the loby you can set the game speed to adjustable and use the -/+ on the numpad to slow/speed up the game.

Ive seen some vids where new players play the campaign and usually the reasons for slow pace are:
- They try to spend much more resources than they have (if you try to consume twice your income your build speed will be cut in half). Supcom is very different from other games that don't allow you to build somthing if you don't have the resources for it. Make sure your mass/energy spent is not in the red. If they are, PAUSE all your production and engineers and fix your eco.
- They don't know how to properly eco up (which then leads to point above).
- They don't reclaim wrecks or waste the reclaim while having full storage.
- They don't build enough build power to spend their resources/reclaim.
- They try to do too much at the same time instead of concentrating their build power.
- They don't understand how expensive T3 navy, T4s, and certain T3 buildings (nuke, arty) are.


You can finish most of the campaign missions in under an hour (on hard) i think, except maybe the third and last FA mission.
