T3 mex upgrade and build price

It seems silly that it is more cost efficient to kill a t2 mex and rebuild it as a t3 mex than upgrade.

This does require APM, and hence skill in some form

However I dont feel this makes the game more exciting to play or watch. APM could be better spent microing units.

I think it would make sense to increase the cost of a standalone T3 mex slightly (~ 400 mass) to fix this, and make it more efficient to upgrade existing mex

wouldn't it be dumb to build a t1 mex with t3 acu and upgrade it to t3 instead of building a t3 mex directly with that acu

You need 1040 mass in buildpower at the mex and enough mass in storage to quickly build the T3 mex in order for it to be more efficient.

How is this impossible? It works since engy mod implementation. Making t2 or t3 factores from scratch costs more than upgraiding them. Probably same could be done for t3 mex

wut ? it's the same price if you combine the price of T1 facto (+ T2 if you go to T3)

You should just host with FA RTS mod, the band aid that fixes this issue and many others that make the prevailing imposed sim city patched version so stale and boring to play. It also repeals other balance aids that has quelled out from the shrines of the balance clowncillor and the insane clown posse over the years :)

No, you are not if you have lots of buildpower, as it takes more build time to build a T1 and T2 mex and upgrade them, build time that is not generating the large amount of mass a t3 mex would be. It could be balanced to be about the same with a reasonable amount of buildpower.

agree, making t2 mex when you can make t3 mex is a mistake, and most people will not find this to be logical.
