Test my coop mission - Depuce Defence

Hi folks,

I've made a coop mission that you can all try out. It's called Depuce Defence and your main objective is to defend Commander Depuce and destroy his enemies.

Since this is my first mission I'm sure there are lots of changes to be made. Feel free to leave feedback or replays in the thread.

To the people who just want a very easy game, a laugh or to test mission functionality you can turn debug mode on. You do this by making Player1 select the Seraphim faction in the lobby. You cannot lose the mission with debug mode on :D.

The only restriction is that you cannot play as Seraphim. If you do your faction will be changed to UEF.

To install the map just unzip the file and put the Depuce_Defence folder in with your other maps which is most likely here: Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Maps

To play the map open the FAF client and go to the coop missions tab. Then double click any map in the left side bar. Setup you game with your settings (e.g game name, password and mods) and then click host game. When Forged Alliance loads into the lobby click options and then select Depuce Defence in the list.

- Army colour now reflects the colour you have chosen in the lobby
- Changed colours for the following players: DePuce, Science_Facility_Bulwark, Science_Facility_Eqiuim
- When you start the mission the camera zooms into your armies ACU instead of in the middle of the four mass spots
- The camera zooms in slower in the intro

- Revised the assaults in Mission 2

- When the northern base gets destroyed it deactivates

- Added a northern Seraphim base. The base attacks you during Missions 3 and 4
- Reduced the area size for Missions 1,2,3 due to the new base
- Removed all ground attacks for southern bases
- Added additional units in the Order and Seraphim attacks in Mission 2 in certain circumstances
- Made the experimental commanders in Mission 4 not take damage until the QAI science center is destroyed
- Reworked debug mode so that player commanders and DePuce don't take damage
- Moved Science Facility Bulwark due to the new seraphim base
- Renamed Civilians to Science_Facility_Eqiuim
- Created a new faction for Science_Facility_Bulwark
- Added a secondary objective to destroy the northern base in Mission 4
- Changed the objective for killing the experimental commanders from killing individual commanders to killing units in area
- Redid the markers and chains on the map
- Added videos and audio for DePuce
- Experimental land units no longer attack from the south

Version: 2016.12.24.1
- Shrunk the map from 81kmx81km to 40kmx40km to improve performance
- Added DePuce_Defence_operation.lua for the new feedback feature
- Renamed Cybran to QAI
- Hard difficulty now has objective timers. If you do not complete the required objectives the mission will move on to the next objective

Start looks good.
I'm having some issues due too my lack of practice/skill/sleep but it doesn't feel unfair at all. I just didn't do it properly yet.

You should definetly join us on slack. That's where all the mission makers hang out and ask questions, answer them etc.
This will be quite useful for you since there will be an update very soon that will break your mission.
So ask speed2 to invite you (if he hasn't already), so we can help you with that if necessary.

ok I played it with speed2, but at some point (when you have to defend the side and the 2 bases appear) my game crashed with an unhandled exception. Settings were on hard. Was quite nice actually... The bases on the bottom can be easily droped with percies though, theres some part with no aa. Maybe add some patroling asf there.

Version 2016.11.20.2 is available for testing. The first post has been updated with the new file. I suggest deleting the old version as the filenames have changed.

Can this be played single player? I normally like to do co-op missions solo with a mod or two on, but nothing I can do will get the launch button to be available to start the mission.

Yes this can be easily played alone.
-> Host coop map (doesn't matter which) in faf lobby, switch to this mission. x up and then launch.

If that doesn't work then put in some explanation of what you are doing, and maybe even some logs would be useful.

So basicly do this :
